Sciolari wall lights
,
set of 3, optical crystal shades on a brass base, 1970`s ca, Italy.
These vintage Sciolari sconces
are in a sleek Modernist design with quality lead optical crystal shards inserted in the brass plated frame. This set of 1970`s sconces would suit a range of interiors such as Art Deco, Hollywood Regency or contemporary. Each wall light consists of three optically shaped crystal shards in a staggered pattern. The removable shards slide into brass plated arms which screw to the light holder of the brass plated frame. There is a playful combination of textures on the frames between polished brass and brushed brass which adds depth to the piece. The main external brass frame attaches through an horizontal screw to the sides of a wall bracket, which in turns has two holes at the back through which it is screwed to the wall. Each wall light takes one standard (E14) small screw light bulb up to 40 Watts. Presently fitted with clear candle shaped light bulbs but could equally take Pygmy or golf shaped bulbs. The optical clear crystal shards are in excellent condition and the brass frame is in very good condition with patina in line with age. The three wall lights have been rewired, are in full working order and ready to use. All the pieces are removable for easy transport. These 3 lights could sell all together or separately. This price is for the set of three, or alternatively each wall light is priced at £240. These wall lights have the matching chandelier available for sale, also on this site as
item code 10632. These wall lights would also complement another two Sciolari chandeliers available in stock:
item code 10672 &
item code 10639.
Dimensions of only the base (without the crystal shades) Height: 16.5 cm, Width: 7.5 cm, Depth: 18 cm.
