Vintage Valentine`s Cards

The first Valentine’s cards were sent in the 18th century. Initially these were handmade efforts, as pre-made cards were not yet available. Lovers would decorate paper with romantic symbols including flowers and love knots, often including puzzles and lines of poetry.

Ahura porcelain of Nove in the north of Italy was founded by Ezio & Flavia Zanardello in 1973. The company name is inspired by the Zoroastrian figure of Ahura Mazda, "the Spirit that creates with thought". Still a family business today the company is also known by the family surname Zanardello.
