This console table attributed to Willy Rizzo has burl walnut veneer with solid brass detailing which are features of his `Alveo` range. Retailed by the company Mario Sabot in Italy from 1972, the `Alveo` range smartly combined Modernist designs with richly stained wood along side polished metals such as brass for a warm and glamorous look. This console table could fit not only in Modern Interiors but also in a more traditional or classic decor. The console has an elegant square section frame all around with solid polished brass details at the corners and base. The richness of the lacquered burl walnut grain complements the brass surfaces. The bronze toned mirror sits flush within the frame on a brass trim; another quality detail. The console frame and mirror top are in very good condition. The original patina with it`s uniform colour and finish adds character. There are no major scratches or marks. The brass is in very good condition. Rizzo`s `Alveo` range included his famous `Alveo` coffee table with it`s dry bar which is photographed.
