Willy Rizzo console table & mirror in brass, chrome & glass, 1970`s ca, Italian.

This console & mirror have been thoroughly cleaned respecting the original lacquer & antique patina and are ready to use.

This Modernist console table & mirror have been attributed to Italian Designer Willy Rizzo. The unique combination of quality polished brass & chrome with stunning clear bevelled glass & mirror work together for a rich design similar to the work of Willy Rizzo. It is rare to find a vintage set of console & mirror which makes this set valuable & highly sought after.  This set would suit a range of decor schemes such as Art Deco, Minimal, Antique, Classical or Contemporary.

The console table has a rectangular Neoclassical frame consisting of a square section of solid brass frame with a polished finish. The proportions of the top of the frame are repeated in the design of the legs. Together the brass metal work appears to flow continuously. The chrome trim is a smart detail which also serves to securely hold the glass top.

The glass top has a bevelled edge of  3.5 cm wide. Together the bevelled glass edge & chrome trim add depth & elegance to the clean design.

The elegant large rectangular mirror matches the console in terms of materials & design. It also has the solid polished brass frame & chrome trim. The mirror is securely held behind this trim. The mirror also has a bevelled  edge of 3.5 cm to match the glass top of the console.

To hang the mirror on the wall there are holes on the reverse side where it can hang. This mirror can be portrait (as in the photos) or landscape.

Both pieces are in very good condition. The brass frames have only minor marks for a warm aged patina. On the glass of the console there are a few minor surface scratches in line with age & wear but no cracks or chips.

This price is for the set.
