Pierre Vandel Paris nest of three side tables, brass & black detailing on champagne gold gilt metal, 1970`s ca, French.

These vintage tables have been gently cleaned while respecting the aged patina. They are ready to use.

This nest of 3 tables were made in France by Pierre Vandel Paris. The original maker`s label is present on the larger frame. The compact size, geometric sculptural forms & flexibility of use make these tables interesting & practical.

The double interlocking frames, repeated geometric details, bevelled glass and satin golden tone keep the Modernist design elegant & chic. Each frame is divided into its core parts in the Constructivist manner. They would suit a range of interiors such as Art Deco, Mid-Century Modern, Hollywood Regency, 70`s Glamour, Industrial or Contemporary.

The set design is composed by two rectangular & one square tables that cleverly interlock when together or when the nest is closed.

The frame of the tables is composed of square profile tubing. It is finished with linear indentation and a plated surface in a light champagne gold tone with a satin finish. There is a playful use of shades of warmer to pale tones between the surfaces on the 3 tables. A reflective brass & black tone linear banding detail is present around the sides.

The table legs have the same square profile but without the brass & black details. On each leg there is a sliding metal flat detail to cover the holes through where the tables could be disassembled. At the bottom the original black stoppers are all present.

Each glass top is vintage original. The glass tops are securely held in place by four clear PVC pegs. The clear glass is quality and bevelled. The result creates depth and a subtle emerald green effect. The glass tops can be removed for cleaning & transport.

These tables are in very good vintage condition. The frames are sound & strong. The gold plating is in good condition with minor superficial marks in places & minor rubbing to the gilt. The glass tops are in good condition with no cracks, tiny superficial marks & only a small crease/nibble on the square top side corner, hardly noticeable. All in line with age & wear.
