Marco Zanuso style `Lady` armchair newly made in a choice of 31 colours of velvet, Italian. Made exclusively for Roomscape`s Contemporary Collection .

This armchair is available to order in a choice of 31 velvet colours as the swatches photographed. This is an example of colour teal. Production time is under 10 weeks.

Marco Zanuso`s `Lady`chair is the 20th Century Design classic which inspired this contemporary armchair made in Italy exclusively for Roomscape. The `Lady` chair was the complementary piece designed to go alongside Marco Zanuso`s `Senior` chair. Slightly shorter in height & more reclined, the `Lady`chair shares the similar organic curves to the design & great comfort.

Designed for the era of lounge living, this armchair is inviting with its reclined back, relaxing curves & lush velvet. The elegant style, size, & quality detail make this chair well suited for an impressive sitting room. Part reclined, part `ready for take-off`, this armchair reflects the 1950`s ideals of lounge living and the Atomic-age. The organic curves ensure the design remains soft while also adding movement & continuity. The style fits within a range of Interiors such as Traditional, Art Deco, Hollywood Regency, Minimalist, Industrial or Contemporary.

The quality Italian velvet fabric is 100% Polyester, high performance with good backing, soft, durable and flame retardant. All the components meet fire regulations. We are happy to send some fabric swatches by post to see the colour & material up close. We have the full range of colour samples in our London Showroom for you to see. Please ring +44 (0) 7956 645492 to arrange a visit or email with your requirements to info@roomscape.net .

Some history about the design process of the armchair:

In the past we have stocked at Roomscape original vintage Marco Zanuso armchairs. As originals are difficult to come by and often there are issues with condition, we arranged to have this model newly made. Working with local craftsman in Italy using traditional methods to exact specifications and quality materials, each armchair has a quality wooden frame.

The frame sits on 4 removable handmade solid polished brass legs that screw to the frame. Each leg is in solid brass and has the top portion made as a plate, with four holes to screw to the sofa giving great stability to the piece.

Packing is offered free of charge. We take special professional care while packing. The frame will be wrapped in several layers of bubblewrapp/foam/cardboard and a final layer of cellophane for safe transport. If necessary the legs can be easily unscrewed and packed separately in a box. This armchair can be safely packed in a box for export.

Additional dimensions:

Height of the seat from the floor is 41 cm.

Height of the arm rest is 53.5 cm.

The dimensions of the actual seat portion are: Width: 50 cm, Depth: 52 cm.

Please note that each armchair is individually handmade so there could be slight minor variation in the dimensions.

We also offer in our Contemporary Collection the bespoke Marco Zanuso inspired `Senior`
style armchair, that was originally the complementary piece designed to go alongside Marco Zanuso`s `Lady` style armchair. Slightly more high back & less reclined, with similar organic curves to the design & great comfort.
