Emil Stejnar for Rupert Nikoll `Pyra` chandelier, 17 lights, 1950`s ca, Austria.

This vintage Stejnar pendant is a clever combination of the Atomic-age sputnik with a Modernist interpretation of a flower. From the solid brass center radiates several brass arms each of which ends with white enameled flower-like stamens; alternating ones finish with a Swarovski crystal bead. The pistil of each `flower` is either a lamp holder or a crystal flower. This is an early piece with quality Swarovski crystal beads unlike later models made of plastic. Carries seventeen standard small screw light bulbs (E14) up to 40 watts each. At present photographed with Pygmy 15 Watts bulbs, but could take other light bulb shapes for a different look. The hanging rod can be unscrewed to shorten or replace with a longer rod or chain. With the rod separated, this piece packs nicely in a box for economical shipping.  At the top of the rod there is the original brass ceiling cup which has inside at the top of the bar, a hook to fit the chandelier to the ceiling.  Rewired, in full working order and ready to use. Very good condition with a warm patina on the brass frame, where there has been minor restoration to bring the piece to its original condition. The condition of all the crystals is excellent.

The length of the rod when separated is 90 cm.

The frame (without the rod) has the following dimensions: Height: 43 cm, Width 43 cm & Depth 43 cm.
