Vintage Kaiser pendant light/chandelier, brutalist icicle glass shades on a nickel frame, 1970`s ca, German.
Thoroughly cleaned, newly rewired
, in full working order and ready to install.
Good Modernist example of German Brutalist Design and traditional elegance. Quality nickel frame in an elegant warm silver colour, consisting of six arms gathering in the middle of the fixture forming a sun pattern. The six icicle Brutalist clear quality glass shades screw to the frame and are textured beautifully reflecting the light. The central nickel vertical pole has a glass icicle piece that unifies the design and also finishes the light at the bottom end, creating a nice decorative detail when the fixture is looked from underneath. The removable top rod can be unscrewed from the frame, so it is easy to replace for a chain if required.
At the top of the rod there is the original nickel ceiling cup which has inside, at the top of the bar, an S hook to fit the chandelier to the ceiling. For safe transport, all the glass pieces are removable. The pendant bar can be separated, and each glass piece individually wrapped.
Carries six standard E14 small screw light bulbs up to 40 Watts each. Light bulbs included. All the metal frame and glass shades are in very good condition.
Height total with bar: 70 cm, Height only the frame: 26 cm
