Vintage horse lamp bronze by Maison Jansen, 1970`s, French in Antique & Vintage Table Lamps from Roomscape

Vintage horse lamp in bronze & steel attributed to Maison Jansen, 1970`s ca, French.

Thoroughly cleaned respecting the antique patina. Newly rewired with silk cable, new brass lamp holder, new plug and new switch on the cable. This lamp is ready to use.

At the focal point of this lamp there is a bronze horse in motion, well cast with quality detail. The classic equine subject suits a wide range of decors: perfect for a desk, console, side table or sideboard. This lamp has the unique advantage that the brass bar to the light is telescopic thus allowing to fit the shade at different heights.

The detailing is very decorative; the eyes, hair, position of the head & leg movement make it very unique and full of character. The warm combination of metals and antique patina further add character.

The horse stands on a rectangular stepped plinth base of bronze & steel which reflect the light above.

From the base there is a brass column that arches forward to finish at the top with a new brass lamp holder. This telescopic bar can be adjusted for a range of heights.

The original vintage pagoda lamp shade completes the smart composition. The lamp shade is in black fabric with trim of black & gold. The lamp shade is lined in white. The lamp shade is in very good condition for its age with minor marks but no rips or dents.

The bronze sculpture has the antique patina built up over years and adding character. There are no damages to the sculpture but there is a small hole in one of the legs from the original casting as photographed.

The dimensions of the base alone (without the lamp shade) are Height: 66 cm, Width: 33.5 cm, Depth: 17 cm.

The dimensions of the lamp shade alone are Height: 26 cm, Width: 35 cm, Depth: 25.5 cm.

This lamp is telescopic allowing for a maximum height of 62 cm and a minimum height of 45 cm.

Packing is offered free of charge. The lamp shade would be removed. The shade and base would be bubble wrapped separately and boxed together perfect for a courier service.
