Vintage brass pendant light in solid polished brass by Florian Schulz, 1970`s ca, German.
Thoroughly cleaned respecting the vintage patina. Newly rewired & earthed with new brass lamp holder, silk cable. In full working order & ready to install. Light bulb included.
This vintage Modernist pendant is attributed to German maker Florian Schulz. It is hand turned in solid polished brass with quality brass details all of which are features of the designs by Florian Schulz.
The elegant simple form would suite many Interiors such as Art Deco, Modernist, Industrial or Contemporary. This pendant is
ideal over a dining table, breakfast bar, or armchair for both diffused & focused light as different light bulbs could be easily used for different effects.
Polished & lacquered both outside & in, the cymbal shape of the shade is enhanced with a decorative brass trim.
At the top of the shade there is a detailed brass light fitting. This has 3 decorative almost industrial solid brass screws which secure the shade to the brass lamp holder cover.
At the top of the cable there is the original solid brass ceiling cup with 2 holes to fit it to the ceiling.
The composition is complete when fitted with a decorative anti-glare Crown Gold light bulb.
A re-enforced new gold silk cable securely suspends the pendant. It is 6 metres long so this pendant can hang in many different ways.
This pendant takes 1 standard big screw (E27) light bulb. Presently fitted (as in the photographs) with a Gold Top Mirror Reflector Globe Halogen light bulb which is included in this price. This type of light bulb is available in most lighting shops or over the internet. Alternatively any other light bulb shape like traditional Gold Crown, Industrial Decorative Filament or Spot could be used to change the direction & appearance of the light.
This light could be used with a dimmer switch.
This piece is in very good condition with a warm aged patina on the brass, mostly on the top side of the shade (as photographed).
Packing is offered free of charge. The parts could be bubble wrapped separately and the entire piece would fold nicely into a box easy to post.
