Vintage brass magazine rack, Art Deco design with crocodile skin effect, 1920`s ca, English.

This item has been gently cleaned while respecting the vintage patina. It is ready to use.

This vintage magazine by `Peerage Brass` of England, has embossed crocodile skin effect. The design is kept minimal & Modern with the geometric form. Art Deco design made use of geometric forms as well as Africa nuances, such as exotic plants & animals. In this Art Deco magazine both influences are present. The result is fun & practical, and would make a useful addition to a range of interiors such as Art Deco, Traditional, Mid-century, Hollywood Regency, Industrial or Contemporary.

In this design the eye is drawn to the embossed brass surfaces; crocodile skin effect on the wider sides and dimpled effect at both narrow ends. There are quality details such as the folding of the brass embossed theme sheets around the corners and edges.

Inside there are two compartments, each finished with bare metal surfaces, industrial in style.

Underneath there are four original metal bun feet firmly attached.

This vintage magazine rack is in very good condition with a warm aged patina adding character.

Packing is offered free of charge. We take special professional care in packing. For safe transport this piece would be bubble wrapped & put into a box with loose packing fill ideal for posting.

PEERAGE BRASS OF ENGLAND HISTORY

The company produced original copper & brass ware with the height of production between 1910-1940`s. Their aim was quality period reproductions which were occasionally marked. Peerage Brass became the brand name after World War II until this trademark lapsed in 1991.
