Trifari vintage bracelet moonstones on vermeil gold gilt sterling silver by Alfred Philippe, 1940`s ca, USA.

This item has been gently cleaned while respecting the vintage patina and is ready to wear. New quality black leatherette gift box included.

The pattern composed by two moonstones cabochons surrounded by smaller red and clear rhinestones on a grapevine motif bracelet.

Incorporates 10 large,  oval, glass moonstones and, scattered throughout, 25 faceted, faux rubies and 35 faceted, faux diamonds for added brilliance.

The leaves have ruffled edges, wrapped within curling vines, and the large moonstones, with a slightly blueish tint, represent the clusters of grapes.

The entire design is presented on 10 individual links, which terminate in a folding clasp.

Signed Trifari with Crown, Sterling, Des Pat No 140780.

This bracelet was featured in Vogue June 1945.

Vermeil is sterling silver coated with gold. To be considered vermeil, the gold must be at least 10 carat (42%) and be at least 2.5 micrometres thick. Vermeil was used in the 1940`s when resources were limited and this is part of it`s appeal to collectors.

This vintage bracelet is in good vintage condition, all the stones are present & are the original ones. Most of the vermeil is still intact with some rubbing & minor superficial marks in line with age & wear, and a warm vintage patina.

Packing is offered free of charge. We take special professional care while packing. For safe transport the boxed bracelet would be wrapped in bubble wrap & foam. It would be then put into another box with loose fill packing nuts, safe for posting with a courier. We ship with reliable couriers (signed for, tracked & insured).
