The Fleur - de - Lis (in French: "Lily flower), also spelled fleur - de - lys or flower - de - luce, is an stylised emblem much used in ornamentation, particularly in heraldry, long associated with the French crown and typically representing royalty or someone of great power or connections.
This pin is in brushed gold plated with texture and has three round garnets at the centre.
The back of the brooch has a standard clasp with a rollover safety mechanism.
The brooch is marked on the back with the Sphinx oval logo from the 1950`s.

This vintage pin is in good condition with no damages. The vintage patina has been preserved on the metal. All the cabochons are present and are the original vintage to the piece. The gold plated surfaces are in good condition with minor patina & some rubbing in line with age & wear. The clasp is in full working order.

Sphinx is a jewelry company that was based in Cheswick England. Founded in 1948 by S. Root they produced jewellery till the late 1990`s. They
also worked for Butler and Wilson, Kenneth Jay Lane and Jomaz.
This Sphinx oval logo is from the 1950`s.
