Sciolari chandelier `Chevron` 9 lights brass & chrome, 1970`s ca, Italian.

This chandelier has been gently cleaned while respecting the vintage patina. It is newly rewired & earthed with 2 metres of grey silk cable. It is fully working, PAT tested by an electrician and ready to install. Light bulbs are included in this price. This chandelier can work with a dimmer. It is possible to use this light in other countries although it may be necessary to purchase different light bulbs suitable to local electricity.

Vintage Gaetano Sciolari chandeliers are known for the quality of the materials and originality of design. In this case the traditional branch shaped chandelier is given a Modern twist with reflective materials and sharp geometric forms. This design is influenced by the Brutalist & Futuristic styles of the 1970`s. The combination of materials & sculptural presence make this chandelier a unique addition to a range of interiors such as Art Deco, Mid-Century Modern, Hollywood Regency, 70`s Glamour, Minimal, Industrial, or Contemporary.

This 1970`s Sciolari chandelier has a high quality chrome & brass frame arranged in a zigzag or chevron shape. The sculptural Modernist design consists of a center hexagonal column in polished chrome from which there are 3 arms which further divide into two external arms.

The main central column continues at the top towards the tubular polished chrome rod & ceiling cup.

Surrounding the central column there are 9 lateral columns also of hexagonal form. Each is polished chrome with a light at the top. The bottom of each column is finished with a chrome plated hexagonal cover.

These columns radiate from the central column as well as joined together with horizontal bands; these are highly polished brass & chrome.

Each lamp holder carries one standard (E14) light bulb up to 40 Watts. At present photographed & fitted with Pygmy clear light bulbs of 15 Watts which are included in the price. Other (E14) bulb shapes could be used for a different look.

At the top, the chrome rod unscrews from the frame for easy transport. This rod can also be shortened or replaced with a chain if needed. It finishes at the top in a ring with a removable S hook to fit to the ceiling, all this covered by the ceiling cup.

The ceiling cup is in polished chrome. It is fully removable and sits on a metal ring that slides along the rod and can be secured by a crew at different heights. Inside the chrome ceiling cup there is the original Sciolari maker`s paper label.

This chandelier is in very good vintage condition and sound construction. The brass & chrome surfaces are in very good condition with a warm antique patina developed over the years mostly on the brass segments. Minor superficial marks on the brass, chrome & bottom plated hexagonal covers. Some rubbing to the clear lacquer on the brass in places in line with age & wear.

Packing is offered free of charge. We take special professional care in packing. For safe transport the frame would be wrapped in a layer of bubble wrap, foam & soft card. The rod would be unscrewed & packed separately if necessary. Both frame & rod would easily fit into a box with loose fill packing peanuts ideal for safe posting.  We ship with reliable couriers (signed for, tracked & insured).

Additional dimensions:

The total Height of the chandelier with the rod is 65 cm.

The dimensions of the frame only without the rod is: Height: 46 cm, Width: 51 cm, Depth: 51 cm

The Height of the removable rod alone is 19 cm

We have in total 2 matching Sciolari Chevron chandeliers with 9 lights in stock
