Vintage high back sculptural three seater sofa attributed to Saporiti, 1950`s ca, Italy.
This newly reupholstered sofa was originally bought in Rome and dates from the 1950`s. The design has an elegant combination of glamour & function. The 1950`s solid frame`s organic lines curve to create a light & delicate "lounge" feeling. The sofa has been newly re-upholstered in quality silver/grey crushed velvet fabric, creating texture and lovely reflections with the natural light. The sofa sits on the four original vintage "space age" nickel metal spindle legs, which finish at the bottom with a pod which adds to the effect of lightness and movement. The sofa`s frame and upholstery are in excellent condition. The age patina on the legs adds character to this piece. Comfortable and elegant vintage Italian sofa.
The height of the seat is 40 cm and the height of the armrest is 53 cm.
