Romeo Rega brass coffee table with chrome detailing, 1970`s Italian.
This coffee table has been gently cleaned respecting the vintage patina; it is ready to use.
With the mixed metals & geometric patterns this table is characteristic of the work by Italian Romeo Rega, the attributed designer. In this example, brass is the predominate metal making this table unique and unusual for Rega. The minimalist form with smart detail makes this table suitable for a range of Interiors such as Art Deco, Hollywood Regency, 70`s Glamour, Post Modern, Industrial or Contemporary.
The core structure is a rectangular frame made of solid polished brass tubing with a square profile, each side having 3 cm width. This is enhanced with a chrome tubular frame with a rectangular profile which also adds sturdiness to the piece. The inner chrome frame is attached to the brass frame at each corner with decorative tubular connectors of brass. At the feet the frames are connected securely with solid brass plates holding the pieces together.
The clear glass top sits securely within the top chrome frame resting on a discreet solid brass ledge below. This brass trim is a sign of quality and adds depth & reflections to the composition. The glass can be lifted out for cleaning or transport. The glass is original to the piece and has a thickness of 0.8 cm.
This vintage coffee table is in very good condition. The frame is sound & strong. The brass is in good condition with minor rubbing to the lacquer tarnished with age. The original vintage glass top is in very good condition with no chips or cracks.
Packing is offered free of charge. We take special professional care while packing. The glass top would be removed and wrapped separately in bubble wrap and an outer layer of card. The frame would have bubble wrap and an outer layer of card if necessary. This table could fit easily in a box for safe shipping.
