Peill & Putzler large wall light, brass with glass cubes, 1970`s ca, Germany.
This sculptural vintage wall light consists of 9 clear glass cubes on a square brass frame which beautifully reflects the light with a warm glow. The 9 quality thick clear glass cubic shades have a Brutalist textured pattern at the bottom of each base, creating depth and a three-dimensional decorative effect. The shades screw by metal rings to the frame. Also
designed to work as a ceiling light (item # 10612 on this site), this
piece can be fitted through 6 holes in the brass frame hidden beneath the glass shades. Carries 9 standard small screw light bulbs (E14) up to 40 Watts each. Presently photographed with clear Pygmy light bulbs 15 Watts but can take other types of light
bulbs, such as E14 crown gold 40 watts for a Modernist look.
The brass frame is in very good condition and has the original maker`s label on the back. All the glass cubes are in very good condition. Rewired, in full working order and ready to use.
The dimensions of each glass cube are Height: 10 cm, Width: 10 cm, Depth: 10 cm.
