Peill & Putzler ceiling light, brass with glass cubes, 1970`s ca, Germany.
This sculptural vintage ceiling light consists of 9 clear illuminated glass cubes on a square brass frame which beautifully reflects a warm golden light. The 9 quality thick clear glass cubes have a textured pattern at the bottom of each creating a three-dimensional decorative effect. The glass cubes screw by metal rings to the brass base. This design also can be used as a large wall light (item # 10616 on this site). It is fitted to the ceiling or wall through 6 holes in the frame hidden beneath the shades. Carries 9 standard small screw light bulbs (E14) up to 40 Watts each. Presently fitted with clear Pygmy light bulbs 15 Watts (as photographed) but for a different look it can take
different types of light bulbs, such as E14 crown gold 40 watts
.
The brass frame is in very good condition and has the original maker`s label on the back. All the glass cubes are in very good condition. Rewired, in full working order and ready to use.
