At the centre of this chandelier is a thick column from which radiate 3 arms horizontally to suspend circular tiers. There are 4 tiers in decreasing size down. Directly hanging from the tiers are hand polished optical crystals. There are 84 crystals in total; 30 around the top tier, 24 round the second tier, 18 round the third tier and 12 round the bottom tier. The optical crystals reflect beautifully the light and create depth, and give the modernist feel to the piece.
In addition to the 3 arms there are vertical pillars supporting the tiers which give this chandelier strength & stability and are a sign of quality. The arms & vertical pillars have a square profile and finished with simple decorative screws, details which give this piece a subtle modern look. All the tiers could be unscrewed if needed for transport.
Also radiating horizontally from the central column are 6 lamp holders with gilt brass covers. At the bottom of the frame there is a down lighter.
This chandelier carries 7 standard small screw light bulbs (E14) up to 40 Watts each. Presently fitted & photographed with candle shaped clear light bulbs 25 Watts, which are available in most lighting shops. Alternatively it could take any other bulb shapes such as pygmy shape or golf.
Looking at the top of the central column there is a large decorative gilt brass ring to which attaches the brass chain. The chain can be easily shortened or lengthened. At the top of the chain there is the original gilt brass ceiling cup with a matching bar & ring holding the chain. Inside the ceiling cup there is an S hook to fit the chandelier to the ceiling.
The 84 crystals are all in excellent condition, as are the frame, chain & ceiling cup.
Packing is offered free of charge. It is possible to remove the crystals and wrap them individually if required. The frame would be wrapped and the chain folded so the chandelier fits into a box.
