Pair Sciolari chandeliers `Chevron` design with 9 lights made of brass & chrome, 1970`s ca, Italian.

These chandeliers have been gently cleaned while respecting the vintage patina. They are newly rewired & earthed with 2 metres of grey silk cable. Each is fully working, PAT tested by an electrician and ready to install. Light bulbs are included in this price. These chandeliers can work with a dimmer and it is possible to use these lights in other countries although it may be necessary to purchase different light bulbs suitable to local electricity.

Vintage Gaetano Sciolari chandeliers are known for the quality of the materials and originality of design. In this case the traditional branch shaped chandelier is given a Modern twist with reflective materials and sharp geometric forms. This design is influenced by the Brutalist & Futuristic styles of the 1970`s. Fortunate to have a matching pair, these chandeliers would suit a range of interiors such as Art Deco, Mid-Century Modern, Hollywood Regency, 70`s Glamour, Minimal, Industrial, or Contemporary.

This design has a high quality chrome & brass frame arranged in a zigzag or chevron shape. At the centre there is a hexagonal column in polished chrome from which there are 3 arms which further divide into two external arms.

The main central column continues at the top towards the tubular polished chrome rod & ceiling cup.

Surrounding the central column there are 9 lateral columns also of hexagonal form. Each is in polished chrome with a light at the top. There is a total of 9 lights on each chandelier. The bottom of each column is finished with a polished chrome hexagonal cover.

These columns radiate from the central column. They are joined together with horizontal bands which are finished in polished brass & chrome.

Each lamp holder carries one standard (E14) light bulb up to 40 Watts. At present photographed & fitted with Pygmy clear light bulbs of 15 Watts which are included in the price. Other E14 bulb shapes could be used for a different look.

At the top, the tubular chrome rod unscrews from the frame for easy transport. This rod can also be shortened or replaced with a chain if needed.

The ceiling cup is in polished chrome. It is fully removable and sits on a metal ring that slides along the rod and can be secured by a tiny screw at different heights. Inside the chrome ceiling cup there is the original Sciolari maker`s paper label.

Both of these vintage chandeliers are in very good vintage condition and sound construction.  The brass & chrome surfaces are in very good condition with a warm antique patina developed over the years mostly on the brass segments. Minor superficial marks on the brass, chrome & bottom plated hexagonal covers. Some rubbing to the clear lacquer on the brass in places in line with age & wear.

They sell together or individually. The price featured here is for the pair of chandeliers together.

Packing is offered free of charge. We take special professional care in packing. For safe transport the frame would be wrapped in a layer of bubble wrap, foam & soft card. The rod would be unscrewed & packed separately if necessary. Both frame & rod would easily fit into a box with loose fill packing peanuts ideal for safe posting.  We ship with reliable couriers (signed for, tracked & insured).

Additional dimensions:

The total Height of the chandelier with the rod is 65 cm.

The dimensions of the frame only without the rod is: Height: 48 cm, Width: 51 cm, Depth: 51 cm

We have in total 2 matching Sciolari Chevron chandeliers with 9 lights in stock available with short rods.

While Sciolari Lighting has been around since 1892, it was their most famous offspring, Gaetano Sciolari, who went on to design for Italian manufacturer Stilnovo in the 1950`s. Read more on our Roomscape Blog about Gaetano Sciolari Lighting.
