Pair brass giraffe table lamps, sculpture of a giraffe & her young by Regina, 1970`s ca, Italian.
These table lamps have been gently cleaned while respecting the vintage patina. They are newly rewired and earthed with golden silk cable, new black cord switch & new black plug and new brass lamp holder.They are fully working, PAT tested by an electrician and ready to use. Light bulbs included. They can be used with a dimmer. It is possible to use these lights in other countries although it may be necessary to purchase different light bulbs suitable to local electricity.
The exotic subject and sculptural shape together with the naturalistic casting, make for a very decorative pair of table lamps. They would suit a range of interiors such as Art Deco, Hollywood Regency, 70`s Glamour, Traditional, Country & Contemporary.
On each lamp, the base consists of a solid polished brass sculpture of a giraffe and a her young, set on a brown polished wooden base.
Between the two giraffes rises a solid polished brass column. This vertical column slightly curves in the middle section above the figures. At the top of this there is a brass lamp holder with a polished brass lamp holder cover. The latter has a removable brass ring to secure the shade.
Each lamp takes one standard big screw light bulb (E27) up to 40 Watts. Presently fitted and photographed with standard clear light bulbs of 40 Watts. These are included in the price. Alternatively it is possible to use any other E27 light bulb shapes.
These vintage table lamps carry the original oval conic fabric shades in a beige tone, slightly textured with beige paper lining. There is a decorative gold metallic trim around the top & bottom borders.
The shape of each polished wooden base complements the brass sculpture, and has a decorative "Ovolo" molding all around. Brown stoppers are fitted under the base to protect the furniture below.
This pair of vintage table lamps are in very good condition. The sculptural brass & wooden bases are sound and have a warm patina & minor marks in line with age. The vintage shades are in good condition without cuts or damages, and only some staining as shown in the images.
Packing is offered free of charge. We take special professional care while packing. For safe transport the lampshades would be removed and packed separately with bubble wrap and an outer layer of card. The bases would be packed similarly. Both parts would fit easily in a box ideal for posting or shipping.
