Midcentury Modern Omann Jun dining table in rosewood 1970`s ca, Denmark, designed by Gunni Omann, with two extension leaves. This Danish rosewood dining table has a sleek veneered rectangular rosewood top with a repeated grain pattern, edged in solid rosewood. On either end there is a table leaf which gently sides under the main top, both are also edged in solid rosewood. When fully opened this table easily grows to a large size and sits up to 12 people. The legs are also of solid rosewood and can easily be unscrewed from the frame for transport. The original polish has been maintained and the deep rosewood colour is consistent all across the top including both leaves. This 1970 rosewood table is in excellent vintage condition with only minor surface wear consistent with age, and no big scratches or marks. A nice compact table when closed with multiple options for modern living.

The width when both extension leaves are closed is 145 cm
The total width when both extensions leaves are open is 254 m
Each extendable leaf has a width of 54.5 cm and depth of 90 cm

Omann Jun Furniture - Omann Jun Møbelfabrik was founded by Andreas Omann in 1933. To this date the company has been family owned and many of the company`s designs were also designed by family members such as Gunni Omann the designer of this Gunni Oman table. In 1979 Bjarne Omann took over the company from his father and expanded the line to include office furniture. In 2005 Ulrich Omann took over leadership. The company`s most desirable pieces are crafted from rich rosewood timber with a highly figured grain. In 1991, Brazilian rosewood was added to the endangered species list and means Brazilian rosewood can no longer be used which has limited the availability of these pieces in turn increasing the demand and price.
