This sculptural vintage chandelier is a Modernist version of the classic two tier column pendant light from the Art Deco period. In this 1970`s version added to the glass is polish chrome plates. The glass shades are arrow shaped to allow for the chrome plates to fit in between to make for an interesting sequence. T
here are 14 large Murano glass shades separated by 14 polished chrome plates, all positioned alternatively. Each quality hand-shaped glass shade has a texturised surface of clear glass with streaks of white. The frame of two tiers has 28 arms on which either a glass shade or chrome plate screws securely. At the bottom of the frame there is an attractive detail of a circular clear textured Murano glass plate screwed to the frame. This diffuses the light and is incredibly rare to find.
Carries inside 3 standard screw light bulbs (E27) up to 100 Watts each. The original vintage chrome chain is uniquely decorative with circle shaped links. The chain finishes at the top with a chrome ceiling cup and a hook to fit the pendant to the ceiling. The chain can be shortened or lengthened. All the pieces in this chandelier are removable for safe transport. All the glass shades are in perfect condition. The chrome frame is in very good condition with light patina consistent with age which gives character. Newly rewired, in full working order and ready to use.
The height of only the frame is 65 cm.
Each glass shade has the following dimensions - Height: 33 cm, Width: 14 cm, Depth: 1 cm.

- Angelo Victorio Mazzega founded his AV Mazzega lighting company in 1946 on the Italian island of Murano. Bringing together centuries of experience and craftsmanship, passion and tenacity in the art of handmade glass the company works in collaboration with Italian designers. Today the company is still family led, run by the third generation, grandson Andrea Mazzega.
