Maison Jansen nesting tables a trio with brass frames & blue mirror tops, 1950`s ca, French.

These tables have been thoroughly cleaned while respecting the vintage patina. They are ready to use.

The Neoclassical & Modernist features executed in solid bronze & quality attention to detail suggest this piece could be from Maison Jansen. The proportions, elegant lines, and repeated geometric forms such as the mirrored glass surfaces are all Neoclassical & Modernist references.

Elegant in design & materials these tables are also very practical. They would suit a range of interiors such as Art Deco, Mid-Century Modern, Hollywood Glamour, Industrial, Traditional or Contemporary.

Structurally each table has the original vintage blue tinted mirror top, sitting inside the gilt bronze rectangular frame. The contrast between the mirrored glass in a shade of midnight/grey blue and the gold tone frames make these tables very chic.

The column legs are far more interesting that in the usual traditional Mid Century brass nest of tables, which carry often only traditional Neoclassical features. In this case, there are a few Modernist geometric twists, such as the profiles, the top of each leg is decorated with two bandings in a "Futuristic Machine Age style" each consisting of 3 rings for a total of 6 rings.

The bottom of the leg is finished with a ball and inverse tapered finial.

The original vintage removable mirrored tops are inset in the frames, each one sitting on a flat bronze plate and surrounded by a flat vertical decorative trim, all of these making this tables very strong structurally and stable.

When stacked together these tables make an interesting geometric pattern.

These tables are in good condition. The frames are sound. The brass retains the original lacquered finish with antique patina in areas adding character as shown in close ups. As the mirrored tops are the original vintage ones, there is superficial wear in line with age and tiny minor loses on the silver lining from the back, which have been sympathetically restored.

Packing is offered free of charge. This tables are well suited also for export. For safe transport the mirror tops would be wrapped individually in bubble wrap and an outer layer of card. The frames would be bubble wrapped and if necessary an out of layer of card. These tables could fit safely in a box and easily posted.
