Lucite coffee table with shelf in the style of Pierre Cardin, 1970`s ca, France.
This large vintage coffee table has a rectangular frame in a Constructivist design with the structural elements exaggerated through the transparent and glossy materials for great decorative effect. The structure is even more interesting when light passes through and is reflected. The frame consist of Lucite panels joined together vertically & horizontally with over-sized solid brass bolts. The glass top is in newly replaced and in perfect condition. The original glass shelf has two tiny chips hardly noticeable when the glass is inserted into the Lucite frame.
The Lucite is in very good condition with minor wear in line with age but no chips or cracks. This table disassembles for easy transport.
The height of the shelf from the floor is 15.7 cm.
The glass has a thickness of 0.6 cm and the Lucite has a thickness of 1.3 cm.
