Vintage choker collier possibly made in West Germany for Lanvin Paris,1970`s ca.
This item has been gently cleaned while respecting the vintage patina and is ready to wear. It is presented in a new gift box.
Sculptural & asymmetric this collier is stamped `W Germany` and shares similar design features to other couture pieces from Lanvin Paris. The bold statement, the use of block colours in a highly polished finish, and the grid pattern are similar to other Lanvin pieces also made in Germany in the 1970`s.
The collier is one piece of black acrylic wrapping around the neck with the opening resting on the décolletage. The beginning and end have a thick layer of gold plated gilt metal pierced for the polished black to peer through. The quality gilt plating has geometric sections, each with a circular piercing; the effect is similar to a butterfly wing.
This piece is stamped `W Germany` on the back and most probably made for Lanvin Paris, as similar vintage items can be found on the internet.
A new black leatherette gift box is included in the price.
This vintage collier is in very good condition. The acrylic body structure is sound with no damages or cracks. The gilt finish is in good condition with only minor rubbing near the neck, as expected in line with age & wear (as photographed).
