Kinkeldey chandelier, large 5 tiers with 57 faceted crystals on a chrome frame, 1970`s ca, Germany.
This elegant Modernist vintage design by Kinkeldey is decorated with quality multifaceted crystals which beautifully reflect the light. This piece consists of 5 circular tiers suspending 57 faceted hexagonal crystal shades screwed securely to the chrome frame. The chrome rod can be unscrewed from the top of the frame and is also divided into two sections in the middle. This allows it to be easily shortened or it could be replaced with a longer bar or chain if needed. The original chrome ceiling cup finishes the bar at the top and can be placed at different heights. Inside the ceiling cup there is a hook to secure this chandelier to the ceiling. Carries horizontally inside the frame 12 standard small screw light bulbs (E14) up to 40 Watts each and
1 standard big screw light bulb (E27) up to 60 Watts downlighter for focus light such as above a dining table.
At present it is photographed with Pymy E 14 15 Watts, but could take any other bulb shape. Rewired, in full working order, and ready to use. The chrome frame is in very good condition and the 57 crystal shades, all original, are in excellent condition with only 9 of them having very tiny minor chips, not noticeable when they are on the frame. The dimensions of each crystal shade is Height: 10.5 cm & Width: 8 cm.
Height of only the frame (without the bar): is 35 cm.
The length of the bar only is 54 cm (and can be divided in two section to shorten the height)
