Paolo Barracheli for Italian manufacturer Roman Deco S.P.A.  coffee table, burl walnut, coromandel & brass, 1980’s ca, Italian.

This coffee table has been gently cleaned while respecting the vintage patina and it is ready to use.

This elegant large sculptural coffee table, with its Neoclassical inspiration, luxury veneers & high gloss finish, would suit a range of interiors such as Art Deco, Brutalist, 70`s Glamour, Post Modern, Industrial, Traditional or Contemporary.

The interlocking pattern of the two types of veneers complements the sculptural cuboid legs.

The attention grabbing legs of this table are made up of 3 cuboids. There are two external coromandel pillars placed at each side of an internal, slightly lower in height, polished solid brass pillar. With this positioning, the brass pillar peaks out from the coromandel in several places while the table is seen vertically or from the top. This creates depth and a very sculptural composition. Each coromandel pillar is finished with a solid polished brass square shaped cap.

The top wooden surface is cutout from the legs, creating depth and an sculptural effect. This shape is highlighted by an interlocking geometric pattern of coromandel in a dark tone, on the main background of burl walnut which is a lighter tone. There is the original high gloss lacquer finish on the wooden surfaces adding elegance & reflections to the piece.

Under the top there is a square section polished solid brass frame running between the 4 legs. This adds reflections, unifies the design and supports the top which is screwed in place.

This vintage coffee table is in very good condition. The frame is sound & strong. The solid brass surfaces are in very good condition with no major marks and a warm patina in places in line with age. The highly polished wood veneer is in very good condition with no cracks or scratches and only a couple of minute dents on the top and minor marks at the bottom of a couple of the legs as expected for its age & wear  (as photographed) .

Packing is offered free of charge. We take special professional care while packing. The table would be wrapped in bubble wrap/foam and an outer layer of card. This table would fit easily in a box for safe shipping.

Additional dimensions:

The solid brass square detail at the corner top of the legs is Width: 8 cm, Depth: 8 cm.
