Italian 1950`s vintage sofa attributed to Saporiti in the original red vintage fabric. This comfortable Modernist Italian sofa seats four people and is an elegant combination of glamour and function. It has a quality solid frame with organic sculptural curving lines which creates a light & delicate "lounge" feeling typical of a vintage 1950`s sofa. It is supported by five spindle black metal legs tapering to a brass point and finishing at a pod which adds to the effect of lightness & movement. The legs have a nice patina in line with the age and adds character. While the frame is sound and the seat is in good condition, this piece is ideal for re-upholstering. The fabric is the original with some wear which is mostly in the back but there are no rips or stains.
Height of the seat from the floor is 37 cm and the height of the armrest is 65 cm.
