Hubert Andrew Freeth (1912-1986) was a British portrait painter and etcher. Freeth studied at the Birmingham College of Art & The British School in Rome. In 1946 he was elected to the Royal Academy of Arts. He exhibited at the Royal Academy and the Royal Watercolour Society. The National Portrait Gallery has a comprehensive collection of his etchings & drawings depicting authors & politicians. His work is also held in The Royal Academy of Arts, The Birmingham Museums Trust and The National Football Museum.
