Cobra lamp brass casting in the manner of Edgar Brandt attributed to Maison Jansen, 1970`s ca, France.

This unique vintage sculptural table lamp of a seated cobra is similar in style to signed ceramic 1970`s Italian examples by designer Tommaso Barbi, who was inspired himself by the Edgar Brandt bronze snake lamp from the 1930`s. It is an attractive realistically detailed brass casting with a brass telescopic rod supporting the original vintage Pagoda silk shade. The shade is trimmed and inside it has a gold lining, all in very good condition. Carries 1 standard big screw light bulb (E27) up to 60 Watts. There is a switch at the cable. Newly rewired, in fully working order and ready to use.

The dimensions of the original silk lampshade: Height: 22.3 cm, Width: 35.3 cm & Depth: 20 cm.

The dimensions of the base alone (without the lamp shade): Height: 42.5 cm, Width: 16 cm & Depth: 15 cm
