This pin has been gently cleaned while respecting the vintage patina and is ready to wear. Original vintage Bob Mackie box included.
Bob Mackie`s guitar pin was inspired by his original Art Work focusing on Elvis` songs & movies. Mackie also produced a range of silk scarves alongside this guitar pin.
The surface of the guitar is in a quality matte gold-plated gilt finish.
The head of the guitar is composed by the gilt tuning pegs and six clear rhinestones in place of the string retainers. Six clear strings run along the neck towards the main body, which is in a combination of gold gilt and a tortoise colored enamel finish.
A string of Peridot rhinestones run along the base of the body adding sparkles & depth.
The back of the pin is in a textured finish in gold gilt with a joint and catch coil pin. Is is signed Bob Mackie on the back.
The original vintage Bob Mackie signature box is present and included in the price.
This pin is in very good condition with all stones present and the gilt in excellent condition. The box has minor marks and signs of wear in line with age. The pin on the back works well

Bob Mackie is an internationally renowned costume and fashion designer who has dressed some of the most glamorous entertainment icons in the world. With a career spanning five decades, nine Emmy Award wins, three Academy Award nominations, and an induction into the Television Academy Hall of Fame, Bob Mackie`s career is nothing short of legendary.
Mackie`s career began in 1961, where he was in demand as a sketch artist for many costume designers in film, including Edith Head and Jean Louis. He is best known for his dressing of entertainment icons such as Judy Garland, Mitzy Gaynor, Cher, Joan Rivers, Diana Ross, Marlene Dietrich, Liza Minelli and many more.
For the full 11 year run of The Carol Burnett Show Mackie was principal designer. This also led to the Sonny & Cher show and the sequel Cher show.
In the 1980`s, Bob Mackie added a line of jewelry that was produced by Marjorie Brandt & Company NY under a license agreement with the design work done by David Salvatore. His costume jewelry is made up of aurora borealis, clear rhinestones and crystals, colored beads that are set into silver tone and gold tone metal bases.
