This playful lamp immediately brings to mind memories of a fond seaside holiday. It is a sweet & unique piece well suited as a bedside lamp or in any room to add some depth & colour.
The transparent blue toned glass base glows when illuminated. The original vintage gold-lined lamp shade casts a warm tone which brings together the brass detailing.
The base consists of a quality heavy clear glass vase filled with various real sea shells held in a gel. The glass vase content is cleverly coloured in gradients of blue to simulate the sea.
The glass vase is topped with a texture brass plate with a round decorative details folding on downwards on each side of the glass. On this sits a brass lamp holder which is covered with a decorative brass tube.
The vintage original lamp shade is present, in an ivory colour with a simulated patent leather effect. Inside it has a gold-toned lining. Around the edges there is beige fabric trim with the bottom trim also having gold toned cabling. The colours of the shade complement very well the decorative base.
This vintage table lamp carries 1 standard big screw light bulb (E27) up to 60 Watts.
This lamp base is in very good condition. The lamp shade is in good condition with minor marks & wear on the fabric trim in line with age, but no rips or cuts.
Packing is offered free of charge. The lampshade would be removed and packed in bubble wrap with an outer layer of card. The base would be bubble wrapped & boxed upright to maintain the gel.
