Peill & Putzler sculptural Modernist glass & chrome large wall/ceiling light, 1970`s ca, German

Peill & Putzler`s Modernist sculptural design in this vintage light is quickly becoming a design classic and iconic of the early 1970`s. A sculptural textured circular clear glass shade is screwed by a metal ring to a silver reflective metal base. The outside of the round metal base that screws flat to the wall is in black. This vintage light can be fitted to the wall or as a ceiling light by 3 holes on the back of the base. Carries one standard big screw light bulb up to 150 Watts (now fitted with a crown silver light bulb 60 Watts). Maker`s original label on the base.The glass shade and frame are both in excellent condition. Rewired, in full working order and ready to use. Also in stock is a pair of Putzler wall lights in brass & smoked glass item  Code: 10668.
