Murano Art Glass flush light with a solid brass base by Hillebrand Lighting, 1970`s ca, German.
Thoroughly cleaned respecting the vintage patina. Newly rewired, earthed, in full working order & ready to install. Light bulbs included.
This large vintage light, by quality German manufacturer Hillebrand, was designed to work as either a ceiling or wall light hung vertically.
At the focal point there is a large handmade Murano glass shade.
The quality glass alongside the brass gives this Minimalist design elegance. This light is ideal for a range of interiors such as Art Deco, Classical, Hollywood Regency, Minimalist or Contemporary; perfect for when a flush light is needed with low ceilings.
The glass shade has a swirling pattern of milky white & clear blown cased glass. It has been polished to a gloss finish on the external side. Inside it is polished satin finish. The result is a softly diffused light.
The removable shade is secured to a large circular quality solid brass plate through 3 large decorative brass bolts. Each bolt has a diameter of 3 cm.
These bolts screw into individual arms extending from the brass base.
The glass shade sits securely in place and is easily removed to gain access to change the light bulbs
Through these same metal arms, on the opposite side attached to the brass base there are 3 holes where the base can be screwed to the ceiling or wall.
Carries 5 standard (E14) small screw light bulbs up to 40 Watts each. At present fitted and photographed with 25 Watts clear candle light bulbs. These are included in the price.
On the back of the base there is the original Hillebrand paper maker`s label.
Both the shade & base are in very good condition.

The diameter of the glass shade is 50 cm.
The diameter of the brass base alone is 38.5 cm.
Packing is offered free of charge. For safe transport the shade will be removed, bubble wrapped & boxed individually. Together these pieces would fit nicely into a second box for shipping.
