Kinkeldey chandelier, 76 faceted crystals on a gold plated gilt 5 tier frame, 1970`s ca, Germany.

Thoroughly cleaned, newly rewired, in full working order and ready to install.

This elegant Modernist design by Kinkeldey is glamorous and contemporary at the same time. In this design the traditional antique crystal chandelier gets a Modernist twist as the frame is hidden, leaving the crystals to appear to float. This effect is achieved from 79 quality multifaceted crystals, beautifully reflect the light, on a sculptural geometric form of 24 Karat gilt which subtly shows through. The 5 circular tiers suspending the dangling crystals create a fullness which is also gentle in appearance. The removable 79 hexagonal crystals are hand polished and secure to the frame with solid brass decorative cylinder screws.

The chandelier carries in total 7 light bulbs. Horizontally inside the frame 6 small standard bayonet light bulbs (E14) up to 40 Watts each. At the bottom of the piece, 1 down lighter which takes 1 large standard screw light bulb (E27) up to 100 Watts. This combination allows different light moods like general ambience lighting or focusing on the table or furniture below if required.

The rod is removable and screws to the top of the frame. It can be easily shortened or replaced with a longer bar or chain if needed. The option to screw on a bar extension of 33.5 cm is available. The original brass ceiling cup finishes the rod at the top. Inside the ceiling cup there is an S hook for safely fitting the light to the ceiling. The frame is also stamped with the Kindeldey Maker`s logo at the top, and also inside the ceiling cup.

The gilt on the frame is in very good condition. The 79 removable crystals are all the original, with most (62) in perfect condition. A few crystals (17) have a single minute chip or wear however this is not noticeable when all are screwed to the frame.

This chandelier can be disassembled and each crystal individually wrapped for easy transportation. The light bulbs are included.

Diameter each crystal shade is 7 cm.

The full height (the frame together with the rod & ceiling cup) is 46 cm.

The height of only the frame (without the rod) is 21 cm.

The length of the bar only with the ceiling cup is 24 cm.
