HAR was part of Hargo Creations from New York. Joseph Heibronner was born in Munich in 1893 and married American Edith Levitt. In 1955, three years after their marriage, they founded HAR. The company, based in New York`s Chinatown produced for only 12 short years which means vintage finds are extremely rare. The company`s magical ideas sold in sets, fine metal work and quality stones. It is believed the company became part of ART and there is certainly a remarkable resemblance in the way these pieces were crafted. HAR jewellery were featured in the famous 1992 “Jewels of Fantasy” exhibit at the Victoria and Albert Museum.
